Why join the lab?
Uppsala University is a highly renowned university with excellent research in ecology and evolution.
Uppsala is a lovely academic city with lots of interesting history and beautiful nature. Stockholm is a 40 minute-trainride away and Arlanda airport is 18 minutes by train.
Sweden has free healthcare, free education, and great benefits for parents (including parental leave for 1.5 years and heavily subsidized childcare).
We care about work-life balance. We allow flexible schedules and treasure holidays and vacations. Three of the most important Swedish holidays are Valborg and Midsummer, and the entire month of July (peak vacation time).
Everyone speaks English, no need to learn Swedish.
We value diversity and inclusivity.
We try to foster a helpful collaborative community with weekly lab meetings, journal clubs, and seminars.
